Marketing and Networking Opportunities both within the organization, with other members as well as promotional opportunities with other industry organization and potential customers within programs and publication of the RIFDA.
Each year Rhode Island Food Dealers Association hosts its Best Bagger Contest. Stores have their own in house competitions and then send their top winners to RIFDA'S State Competition. The winner of this event is awarded $250.00 from the National Grocers Association and a trophy, and then goes to the National Grocers Association Convention to compete for the National Title. RIFDA provides the air transportation, hotel accommodations, and a food allowance for the two to three days of the event. The State second and third winners also receive trophies and cash prizes from RIFDA. The event is held in March each year at RIFDA's Trade Dinner Evening.
