Rhode Island Food Dealers Association held their Annual Convention June 17 - 20, 2010 in North Conway, NH.

The White Mountains Hotel & Resort was truly fabulous. The White Mountains as a backdrop, golf, an outdoor pool and close proximity to North Conway, NH made for an ideal setting for the convention. Some Weekend Highlights; Friday mornings Golf Tournament our winners were; 1^st low gross Brian Pacheco, Eastside Marketplace, 1^st low net Mark Clements, Clements' Marketplace, 2^nd low net Jan Freeborn, Garelick Farms, 3^rd low net George Loughery, Garelick Farms, closest to the pin George Loughery, Garelick Farms and longest drive Jan Freeborn, Garelick Farms.

Friday nights "Decadent Desserts a Piece of Cake" a team oriented playoff for the best dessert, oh so much fun! The green team won, Christine Luke, Pepsi Beverages Company, Sara Clements, Clements' Marketplace, Jan Freeborn, Garelick Farms, Tracy Clements, Clements' Marketplace. Did you take a souvenir picture in the photo booth?

The children were well entertained during the convention which featured, Friday "Movie Night" and Saturday Donna Maria Puppeteer/Ventriloquist under the watchful eye of our certified bonded babysitters. The facility was "kid friendly" as it also provided tennis, beautiful grounds, a game room and of course the outdoor heated pool within a safe monitored environment.

Saturday's poolside cocktail we couldn't have asked for better weather or company. Saturdays Chairman's Dinner we enjoyed surf n' turf while kicking back to a jazz trio our raffle winner Jen Pacheco, Eastside Marketplace won a Wii Gaming System thanks to Bozzuto's Inc. The grand finale, unexpected fireworks in the mountains...a dream come true!

At the RI Food Dealers Association we consider ourselves truly thankful to have such supportive members who help make this all possible. We hope you will join us for next years June 2011 Convention in Cape Cod, MA.
